The roots of Bilal Group can be traced back to the beginning of the 20th century. The family was in leather business (Madras, now in India) before the Independence of Pakistan. After independence (1947), the family migrated to Faisalabad and laid the foundations for its textile business. The group entered into the international arena in 1977 as a manufacturer and exporter of quality cotton bags. The Group invested thoroughly towards spinning and weaving in beginning of 80s and consequently emerged as one of the leading Pakistani exporters of Yarn and Greige Fabrics. In late 90s, Bilal Group realized the need for value addition and made heavy investments towards processing and stitching sector, since then Bilal Group has shifted its focus towards Madeups and Piece-goods. While the other Groups in Pakistan were diversifying into other sectors, Bilal Group remained focused on textiles allowing it to maintain its competence in the wake of post quota competition. Bilal Group’s latest series of investments in “Bilal Textiles Private Limited” has provided it entry into the Home Textile Market. The group is poised (and committed) to expand further in future.
